Check out Daniel Webster College, Nashua, NH. Great college! I got my private pilot license there. I spent a year there but went back locally to my home town to get my instrument rating. –A whole community of dedicated professionals who really care about you and want to help you succeed.

AOPA’s “Flight Training” magazine does an annual college section. I don’t recall which month it was, but that would be a good resource to check. Also, a few months ago Flight Training also had a little article on how to choose a college. I don’t have them handy to look up which ones though, sorry. :\
If you’re not already a member of AOPA and a subscriber to Flight Training magazine, you might perhaps check AOPA’s website and/or ask around at a flight school if anyone has some more recent issues you can borrow to check through them.

An airline pilot right out of college? Chances are slim to none that it’ll happen that fast. All of the above colleges have decent programs, though. Don’t get discouraged when the airline job doesn’t happen immediately after graduation. Stick with it, and eventually it will happen.

stick with licensing only and major in something else in a different college, the way the economy is going and airlines are going you should have a backup plan to fall back on incase the airlines cant take you

Not likely you’ll become an airline pilot right out of college no matter the college. Were I advising you, I’d tell you to go to the cheapest college that’ll give you and accredited diploma in the shortest time and spend the time and money you save learning to fly and building experience. The only reason you need college is because the airline HR managers are delusional in thinking such things matter.

Any part 141 school will get you the same job, they all give the same training.
Even if you can get into Embry Riddle you dont want to, since it has the highest amount of debt per student of any school in the US. It will not give you a advantage over someone who went to a cheaper school and spend the remainder of the time working as an instructor or other entry level job.

The best college to become an airline pilot is the one that doesn’t have an aviation program. Airlines don’t care what your degree says on it. Get a degree in something you can fall back on. You learn just as much at a little local flight school anyway, it is all the same tests you have to take to become a pilot.
good luck!

The biggest and one of the most respected aviation degree programs in the world. My alma mater.
If you are NOT an overprivileged jerk who has never worked a day in your life and thinks you are owed a career in this industry just because your daddy pays your tuition and flies for a major airline don’t go to Embry-Riddle. If you are, then by all means please go there. You’ll fit right in.
