What is the difference between college prep classes and academic classes in high school?

What types of colleges should I send the College Plans Reporting Service information to?

So I received a letter from the National Merit Scholarship Corporation saying I could send my PSAT scores to two colleges. However, my college counselor said some colleges (i.e. Yale) do not even look at it if you send it. Has anyone else had this experience? Like, are there certain colleges that do not care if I send them my scores?

How much do Ap exams matter when applying to college?
