The odds on favorite is probably Booty at USC, but I have a sneaking suspicion that Chad Henne (Michigan) will be the one who shows the real NFL character late in the season. He has two good receivers in Manningham and Arrington, as well as an elite back in Mike Hart who should take a lot of pressure off. All Henne will have to do is stay calm like he did last year and his season will look pretty impressive.

Colt Brennan from Hawaii, great skills for the system he’s in will lead the nation and look great on paper but won’t be a great NFL player, just like Timmy Chang from Hawaii.

John David Booty will have an outstanding year and follow in the footsteps of fellow Trojans Carson Palmer and Matt Leinart and win the Heisman. He plays in a pro-style offense with great talent around him and will put up monstrous numbers. Henne from Michigan will have a good year too, but they just don’t throw the ball enough to allow him to put up the same kind of numbers Booty will.

Brian Brohm will be the best overall QB. Brennan will probaby throw for more yards, but he plays on a team who does nothing but throw in a league where there is no defense whatsoever.

Chad Henne will be the best quarterback in college football because of his talent and supporting cast. Adrian Arrington and Mario Manningham are two great wide receivers along with having Mike Hart in the backfield will not allow defenses to play the pass all the time. Another reason is that Michigan’s defense will struggle because of the numerous losses they suffered through the draft and graduation.

Colt McCoy from Texas. He has all the same receivers he had last year when he was a redshirt freshman and he threw for 29TD’s. He would have broken the freshman record for TD passes in a season but he was injured for the last two games of the season.
He doesn’t have the strongest arm in the world but he can make all the throws and he’s a coaches son so he has the football knowledge to get better every year.
If they have the same running game they had last year then they will have to throw a lot and he’ll prove why he’s the best QB in the nation.
