I am a college student and I turned on the tv and saw two college teams playing hockey against each other and their colleges were thousands of miles apart. How do college atheletes travel as much as they do and dedicate as much time to their sport as they do and still attend school?

I think they have people do their homework for them on YA.

You study while on your road trip. You study before you go to bed. Nobody ever gets a free ride. Many cheat on their exams, etc.. It just happened and was on ESPN. But they got caught and threw away any type of plan for any type of career. Nothing in life comes easy. You have to put in the effort. Being an athlete is no different.

I think that they ask other people to do it for them or they will just tell the teachers that they were in a game……!!!!!!!

In some cases, they just learn to be very efficient with their time management. In other cases (e.g. big-name football teams), they may take a very light course load, and have tutors that help them. Some schools have special courses for athletes only, that are not as rigorous as the normal courses.

What type of grades do you think they get??
The college atheletes get “paid” to play..basically they are recruited by the universities and get FULL athletic scholarships to help the school team WIN. They are not there for academic reasons. College sports is a serious business. Its not like something they do on the side, like weekend pickup hockey for fun.

Hockey wouldn’t be as demanding on ones time as football. A hockey team would never practise twice a day or have the elaborate team meetings a football team does. If they manage their time well they should be OK.
