I got my bachelors when I was 26. My mother got hers when she was 34. My aunt got her bachelors when she was 36. We all make over $60K.

You’re never too old to go to college and learn. I used to work with a woman in her 50s who went to college for the first time and earned her undergraduate degree. I say go for it 100%.

I did 4 years active, then college. I thought the same way you do now. Its nothing. Its much easier than some of the stuff you learn in the military depending on your major, and its all about hard work and you’ll be way ahead of those lazy 18 yr olds in that department. As far as age, don’t worry about it. While most kids in my class were 18 or 19, there were a few that were in their 40s and 50s!
Good luck!

I’m doing it now and I’m 29. January I will be going on my third year. I was really surprised at how many older, and I mean much older, people are attending college. The college allows people over the age of 55 free tuition so there are quite a few elderly students.
I am married and have two children (3) & (10). I have to say that I am finally getting tired. Bad thing is, I was just accepted into the RN program so theres no stopping now. lol
If you have the money and ambition I would go for it all the way!
Your never to old to get an education!

Go for it! It is a lot different than “real” life (aka working) but it can be alot of fun. depending on how you did in high school, and how much you remember, you may want to start with a part time class load and get back into the swing of school.

Its not about what others think!!! its about self accomplishment. If you want it, then persue it. I go to college. Trust me, I see older people all the time. Its nothing you should be ashamed of…it is something that you should be proud about. You dont want to live the rest of your life asking yourself “what if”. It is always better to try and say you did. Live happier that way.

Dude,
The most memorable character from my freshman dorm was the old (27 years) Navy guy on the third floor. He drank like a fish, played guitar like a madman, and had no trouble finding dates.
College is worthwhile at any age. So what you have four years on the other freshmen, you are over 21 which automatically puts you at the top of the pecking order in any dorm.
Finally, if you indeed manage to graduate at 25, you will be younger than many seniors I know.

I went back when I was 28. I think I got more out of the experience and appreciated it more because I was older. Don’t worry one bit about being too old. You’ll get into the hang of schoolwork again right away. And thank you for serving our country.

A person is never too old to study, one studies thru’out one’s life one way or the other. u have very good thoughts, don’t let age deter you frm joining, go ahead and join it. even if u do feel awkward, it’ll be for a few days, then u’ll be fine. u might find people older than u also studying there.
